Briar Chemicals continues to have an excellent safety record. However, we have a responsibility to plan for incidents on site which may affect the local community, even if they are unlikely to happen. Because of this, we provide local residents (including businesses) with the option to register for our free Warning and Informing service. People in the local area can register their contact details (mobile, landline, email), so that we can quickly and easily send them emergency information in the unlikely event of an incident at Briar Chemicals.
You should have received our Emergency Leaflet in the post. This leaflet gives your more information about what we do at Briar Chemicals and what you need to do in an emergency. If you did not receive your leaflet, or you would like another copy, you can download the leaflet here.
We strongly encourage you to register for our free Warning and Informing service so that, if we need to, we can contact you with special safety instructions.
Our messages are sent by an automated messaging system, provided by Alert Cascade Limited (Alert Cascade). We guarantee that your contact data will only be used for the Warning and Informing service. Your details will not be given to anybody else and will not be used for marketing. Your contact information will be securely held by Alert Cascade, who are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as Data Controllers. Alert Cascade's registration number is ZA189919 and you can read more about the Data Protection Act and the role of a Data Controller by visiting www.ico.org.uk.
You can de-register from this service at any time. You may need to do this if you move house, or you change your contact details.
